Twelve days to go and counting!

Two things for your attention.

Pastors’ / Spouses’ Conferences: These are important times for pastors and wives to get together for some Bible teaching and mutual encouragement. For many, their ministry is in rural areas and quite challenging in many ways, so time together strengthens and equips them for the work.

Just £25 will cover the costs of accommodation and food per person, and we would like to enable 150 delegates to attend in the dioceses of Gasabo and Byumba. If you would like to help sponsor delegates, then you can give on-line at: www.give.net/dt_Rwanda.

New building regulations in Rwanda have meant that every church building should have a Water-Harvesting Project installed (as well as other requirements). Whilst this is a sensible regulation, it has put huge pressure on the local congregations and many church buildings remain closed.

So our plan to install more WHP is even more important and we are thrilled that we can give the go-ahead to install a further two projects immediately. Huge thanks to the individuals who have given the finance to enable this. If you would like to contribute to the next WHP, then please go to:  www.give.net/dt_whp.

The land of 1000 hills.

Welcome to Damascus Trust's Team Rwanda 2019 Blog.

We will be visiting our partners in Rwanda during July and we'll be posting updates and photos as often as the internet connection (and time) allows!

This year's team is Jim and Valerie Bruce, Grace Bryers, Heather Ellis and Andy Paine and we will be visiting our two partners in the Dioceses of Byumba and Gasabo.

Please pray for these next couple of weeks as we finalise our plans and programme and prepare oursleves for being with our brothers and sisters in Christ there in Rwanda.

You should be able to send us a comment, so please do as these will let us know people are reading the blog and also encourage us to keep going!

Thanks for looking and happy clicking!
